Crisis Management

Crisis management is the process by which an organization deals with a major event that threatens to harm the organization, its stakeholders, or the general public. There are three elements common to a crisis. There’s the threat to reputation of the organization, there’s the undesirable element of surprise and there’s a short decision time.
The key word in a potential crisis situation is ‘damage control’. When confronted with bad news or a crisis, it’s critical and essential that companies and individuals manage the crisis so they are in control; and certainly not the events.
